EB-5 Visa Program
The EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program or “Regional Center” Program was introduced in 1993 as a way for foreign investors to obtain permanent residency in the United States of America. By investing a minimum of $500,000 in targeted high unemployment areas in businesses in approved geographic regions, qualifying foreign investors and their families may obtain “conditional” or temporary two-year green cards, provided that their investment create a minimum of ten new, full-time jobs in the United States.
Advantages of EB-5 Visa Programs:
The U.S. immigrant investor program is themost flexible in the world. The U.S. immigrant investment program doesnot require immigrant investors to manage their investment on a daily basis, but rather, to 'actively engage' in a business enterprise, meaning they can be limited partners and pursue other professional or personal ventures. As a permanent resident, the investor and his or her family are free to return to their homeland for visits or business purposes, as long as a residence is maintained in the United States.
